Kampung Naga & Candi Cangkuang
Yesterday (9/5), X Social Class went to Kampung Naga and Candi Cangkuang in Tasikmalaya and Garut, West Java. The journey started at 7 o'clock. Actually, Ms. Dida told us to get ready at 6, but we weren't ready at that time, so we finally went to the bus at 7 o'clock. Beside X Social Class, there were also some teachers, they were Mr. Dhoni, Ms. Dida, Ms. Kurniati, Ms. Wulan, and Ms. Sri.
The trip went smoothly, the road wasn't in traffic, so we could arrive at Candi Cangkuang quickly. We arrived at Candi Cangkuang at about 9 o'clock. Before reach Candi Cangkuang, we had to cross a lake by raft. So, we rent 2 rafts for us to cross the road. After we arrived at the little island in the middle of the lake, Went we arrived, we didn't directly see the temple, we had to go through Kampung Pulo. Kampung Pulo is a village that located in the same island as Candi Cangkuang. There were 7 families in the village and will always be, beacuse of the tradition.
At the Candi Cangkuang sites, we had the explanation of the temple. Besides the temple, there was a grave of Arif Muhammad, a Muslim warlord from Mataram who tried to escape from the Dutch Soldier. Because of him, today, everyone in Kampung Pulo is a Muslim and there were a lot of prayer script that written on the paper that they made. The scripts were placed nicely in the museum there.
After that, we continue our trip. We went to Kampung Naga, but before that, we stopped at a restaurant for lunch and pray. The trip to Kampung Naga took about 3 hours if i'm not mistaken. We learn a lot there, about their culture, proffesion, daily activities, etc. Our guide at Kampung Naga is the brother in-law of the tribal chief. People in Kampung Naga still didn't use any electricity, for the lightning at night, they used lantern with kerosine inside of it. To reach the village, we had to go down the slope that contains about 400 stairs. That's why this village named "Kampung Naga", the "Naga" word came from Nagawir, it was a sundanese word for slope.
We had a good time there and I hope that we can do more trip like this.

Lyric Breakdown
It's been a long time since I published my last post. So, today I'll write about a song's meaning. The song that I wanna to explain is Bright by Echosmith.
Lyrics :
Lyrics :
I think the universe is on my side
Heaven and Earth have finally aligned
Days are good and that's they way it should be
You sprinkle star dust on my pillow case
It's like a moon beam brushed across my face
Nights are good and that's the way it should be
You make me sing ooh la la laa
You make a girl go ooh ooh
I'm in love, love
Did you see that shooting star tonight?
Were you dazzled by the same constellation?
Did you and Jupiter conspire to get me?
I think you and the Moon and Neptune got it right
'Cause now I'm shining bright, so bright
Bright, so bright
And I see colors in a different way
You make what doesn't matter fade to grey
Life is good and that's the way it should be
You make me sing ooh la la laa
You make a girl go ooh ooh
I'm in love, love
Did you see that shooting star tonight?
Were you dazzled by the same constellation?
Did you and Jupiter conspire to get me?
I think you and the Moon and Neptune got it right
'Cause now I'm shining bright (ooh) so bright
And I get lost in your eyes
Did you see that shooting star tonight?
Were you dazzled by the same constellation?
Did you and Jupiter conspire to get me?
I think you and the Moon and Neptune got it right
I think you and the Moon and Neptune got it right
I think you and the Moon and Neptune got it right
'Cause now I'm shining bright, so bright
Bright, so bright
Bright, so bright
And I get lost in your eyes tonight
Singer's interpretation :
Sidney Sydney Sierota said that this song is very simple, but it has a lot of meanings. The 19 years old singer said that this song is about love. Not only love to our "soulmate", but also to our family, friends, and others that interact with you daily.
My interpretation :
For me, I think's this song is clearly about love, a romantic one. It can be seen before at the pre-chorus part when she sing "I'm in love, love". So, I agree with Sydney's opinion. Also, I think it's all the positive part of love. It's clearly written, "I think you and the Moon and Neptune got it right. Cause now I'm shining bright, so bright", that show the happiness of a girl which in this song illustrated by Sydney. The last one that why I think this is a romantic love song is the last line, ""And I get lost in your eyes tonight". That "lost in your eyes" describe a feeling about a feeling that she can't describe about "him".

Education For a Better Future
In my opinion education is a process of learning either
formal, non-formal, or informal. Formal education is what we have at school,
while non-formal education is a process of learning that we’ve got from another
institution besides school, like a course that we take, and informal education
is a process of learning that we’ve got from our environment, like family,
friends, or our other inner circle.
As we know
now, people usually assume that education is only a lesson that we’ve got from
school, reading books, class with teacher. That’s a wrong statement. In fact,
when we talk to everybody, it’s a part of education or when we do something
with the others, it’s a kind of education too.
For a better
future, we should change our perception on education, because education isn’t
only about the formal one. Then, we should increase the moral education, not only
about science . We can’t just create a lot of science experts , but we should create
people who have abilities to read the
situation and make strategic decision. So,
when we grow up, we can have logic argument when we argue with the others.
Besides that,
we also have to develop the human resources factor – teacher. Because, at
school, teacher is our role model and as human, we usually follow our role models. The
better teacher we have, the better role model we have, the better people we
will be. And besides about role models, teacher is also a media who will
transfer his or her knowledge to us, their student. So, they should have an
ability to do that. They should be humble, kind, and patient. Because, there’s
no instant way to study, we should follow the process.
The other
factor that can make the education better in the future is an action from the
government to improve the formal education in their countries. In Indonesia,
actually the government help their residents to get a chance to have a formal
education for 12 years! It’s called BOS. It’s the program where the government
help people who have an economic problem, so they can still get a formal
education. Unfortunately, BOS isn’t distributed well. So, there’s still a lot
of students, especially from the isolated areas that located far away from the
city haven’t felt the impact of BOS. So, the government role is so important to
solve this issue.
In my opinion, the last one is we
have to create the education system that allow us to focus in one speciality. It’s good to master a
lot of fields(bidang), but it’ll be better if a person can be an expert in one
particular field (bidang) that he or she likes . Because, that’s what the
advanced countries do. I think, the developed countries should adopt it to
their education system.

My Holiday
Last holiday, my family and I went to Bali. Bali is one of the most popular holiday destination in Indonesia. People usually call it "Pulau Dewata". Bali is famous for its beach and artistic culture.
We went there by airplane. It took about 2 hours from Jakarta to Bali. When we arrived, our driver, Mr. Made immediately picked us up on the airport and we went straight to the hotel. We felt exhausted, so on the first day we just went around Kuta, looking for some food.
On the second day, we went to Tanjung Benoa to play some watersports. I tried to snorkle, it was the first time for me to do that. At first, I was afraid, because there must be a lot of marine life. And my fear was just proven, After spending a long time in the water, suddenly I saw a sea snake, So, I immediately went to the boat where my father and my brother were waiting for me up there. Satisfied with the water sport, we continued our trip to GWK. GWK is one of the famous tourist destinations, because there is a huge statue which I think everyperson must know .
On the third day, exactly on the Wednesday, we went to Padang-Padang Beach. Padang-Padang Beach is located behind a cliff, so to reached that place, it wasn't easy, especially for my grandmothers, because there were a lot of stairs and wild monkeys. After that, we went to Uluwatu and just walked around the area with the other tourist. In the afternoon, we decided to go back to the hotel. But, before that, we went to a mosque in Tabanan. And here the unluckiest moment happened, my father, brother, and I lost our shoes at the mosque! At first, I kept calm, because I didn't know it, but after my father said that our shoes had gone we separately looked for it. But it was useless, we never found them again.
On Thursday, the last day in Bali, we didn't do a lot of activities, because we had to catch our flight at 7 a.m.
Finally, we arrived in Jakarta safely without my shoes of course
Trip to Museum Geologi
On Thursday (21/6) Social Class of SMAN 3 Bandung went to Museum Geologi to do an external study. Museum Geologi was located on Jalan Diponegoro, it's not far away from Pusdai.
We went there at 9 a.m. Some of the students went there by school car, but most of the boys rode their motorcycle. I went separately from my friend, I was late because I had to take my brother's motorcycle key in his class. After I got the key, I rode my motorcycle with Jamil behind me.
When I arrived there, I was separated from my friends, so I had to find them. I searched them in the room where there was a lot of dinosaur fossils, but I didn't find them. So, I searched in the another room, and found them. When I met them, suddenly Mr. Priyadi, our Geography teacher said that he had to go back to school, because there was a visitor who wanted to meet him. He said that if we felt bored, we could leave and went home and we said yes!
But, after Mr. Priyadi left, we didn't go home, we still went around there, looking at a lot of interesting stuff. In Museum Geology we saw a lot of kind of stones, fossils of ancient creatures, and also learned about the structure of the earth.
I think, the most interesting part in Museum Geologi was when we all tried the earthquake simulator. The security kept watching us when we tried it. It was hillarious!
Not long after it, we finished our sightseeing, so we went to the front room and suddenly Mr. Priyadi appeared there and said that we could go back if we wanted. So, we went back to school, because we had a German class.
So, I think the visit to Museum Geologi was so amusing! We could do an external study which isn't boring. It also gave me a lot of new experience, because when the first time I visited it, a long time ago, I didn't pay attention to all of the information about a lot of things there.

SMPN 2 Bandung
Hi guys!
In this
post, I want to tell you about a place in Bandung. It’s about my junior high
school, SMPN 2 Bandung.
SMPN 2
Bandung is located at Jl. Sumatra no. 42. It used to be an RSBI school, before the
government decided to restore the RSBI status. It is a heritage building, just
like SMAN 3 Bandung. It means, no one can change or renovate the main building,
even the government itself.
SMPN 2
Bandung has a very nice environment, it’s a green
school, just like it’s motto,
“BRAVO”. In which V means vegetative. So, they really care about the
environment, the clean one.
Besides the green
one, it also develops the honesty from every students. They make “Kantin Kejujuran” and “Toilet Kejujuran”. For
the toilet, a lot of people – even my mom – said that the toilet is like a
hotel’s toilet. It’s very clean and elegant.
So, I think
that’s all. Thanks for visiting my blog. I think this will be my last post in
this semester, so goodbye!
